Loney Gets Willie Mays Hayes Treatment

Remember Willie Mays Hayes from the epic movie Major League? Of course you do. And if you'd don't, you're a commie. Anyway, it seems as though first year Dodgers manager Don Mattingly is getting tired of watching firstbaseman James Loney hit lazy fly balls to left field. Donnie Baseball wants to give Loney some incentive to hit line drives not easy pop-ups, so he will be fined $1 for every offense. This won't dent Loney's wallet at all, so the effectiveness of the punishment likely resides more in the public embarrassment side of things rather than monetary.
