Playoff Predictions

American League:
Divisional Series-
*Twins over the Yankees in 5. I hate any New York team, so this probably clouds my judgement, but I believe the Yanks just don't have the pitching and Minnesota has a knack for pulling off the improbable.

*Rangers over the Rays in 5. Tampa Bay's starting pitching just isn't good enough outside of David Price. Look for the Rangers offense to click on all cylinders again with Josh Hamilton back in the lineup, and for their pitching to do well enough to win the series.

League Series-
Rangers over Twins in 7. Cliff Lee, CJ Wilson, Colby Lewis, and Tommy Hunter are better than Francisco Liriano, Carl Pavano, Brian Duesing, and Nick Blackburn.

National League:
Divisional Series-
*Phillies sweep Reds. The Big 3 (Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt, and Cole Hamels) are too much to contend with. They make short work of the Reds, and Cincy's feel good season ends abruptly.

*Giants over the Braves in 4. San Francisco finally has some power in the lineup (Huff, Posey, Burrell, Uribe) and combine that with their awesome pitching staff and the Braves are lucky to take 1 game from them.

League Series-
Phillies over Giants in 6. The Phillies are proven winners and as good as the Giants pitching staff is, it's not good enough to stop the inevitable- 3rd straight World Series appearance for the Phightins.

Phillies over Rangers in 5. The Phillies were the best team in baseball during the regular season and will continue to hold that title through the entire postseason and offseason.
