Where are they now...ERIC MILTON

Over the next couple of weeks I will be doing a look back at a segment called "where are they now." First up is Eric Milton. A born and raised Pennsylvania boy who grew up in State College. Traded to the Phillies in 2003 for Carlos Silva and Nick Punto. Led the Phillies in 2004 in pretty much every category. At the end of 2004 he signed a decent deal with the Reds for 3 years $24 million. What a waste of money. He went 8-15 that season and had numerous injuries along the way. Since then we has been passed around more teams than Kate Hudson. More recently he signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers in 2009 with an invitation to spring training. Unfortunately he did not make the team. He was sent to the minors for several months and then recalled. He started two games and then wound up on the shelf with season ending surgery for a herniated disk. Currently he is on the market and for some ungodly reason the Phillies are interested. Leave it to them.

Please, no Eric Milton again. Not even on a minor league deal. Just say no Ruben.
