It's time to enter another brewery into More Hardball's Beer Club (full list on sidebar under emblem). Today I bring to you the fine beers of Saranac Brewery. Located at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in New York, Saranac has been a family run brewery in Utica for many years. They have a wide array of beers to choose from- flagship and seasonals. They don't overdue it, so the product is always quality and never over-the-top.
I recently finished up a case of their 12 Beers of Summer and enjoyed every single drop. Most of the beers were not your run-of-the-mill flavors and had a little zip to them. Intriguing brews like their lemon infused Summer Ale, fruit-a-licious Pomegranate Wheat, an excellent Pale Pale Ale, a bodacious Helles, a nice alternative to wheat Rye Pilsner, and a smooth Amber Wheat.
I'm now looking forward to purchasing 12 Beers a Falling, their Autumn seasonals. Case includes: Irish Red Ale, India Pale Ale (always a favorite), Black Forest (dark is good!), Octoberfest (MLB playoffs and beer!), and two that I'm dying to try Caramel Porter and Pumpkin Ale.
Coming soon will be the 12 Beers of Winter to warm you up on a cold December's eve. Case includes: Winter Lager, Black Lager, Rye IPA, Big Moose Ale (sounds fun), Maple Porter (porter anything gets me excited), and Belgian Ale.
Another great thing about Saranac, aside from the terrific taste is the affordability, so run out and get yourself some!
