Next is Jered Weaver, an average pitcher, who often has difficulty putting power behind his pitches. This is probably because he's all leg and no arm.

Last is Torii Hunter, a $16 million dollar center field slugger. When not on the field, Hunter can be spotted cautiously tiptoeing in the Los Angeles area toting a gun. When asked about this bizarre ritual, Hunter cautioned "Be vewy vewy quiet,I'm hunting wabbit."

Enjoy a touching song about angels...
Flight of the Conchords - Angels

It was kind of difficult for Shields to collect saves with record breaking K-Rod racking up nearly every opportunity. He's a damn fine set-up man though.
It'll be interesting to see if Shields gets more ops this year with Fuentes out there this year rather than Rodriguez. Shields is valuable and he'll likely see some solid inning work this year regardless of save opportunities.
Nice post.
Since "holds" and "set-up" men have become a big deal around the late 90's, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who done it longer and better than Scot Shields.
I'm hoping Madson can be half the setup man Shields is, or half the setup man he was in the 2008 postseason.
If Madson can continue pumping out 96-98 mph fastballs to go along with his plus changeup then Phils Phans should remain happy.
LOL!!! jared weaver's card is awesome XD
Wow. That is all I can say. The use of Flight of The Conchords, BRILLIANT!!! since you did Angles, you added Angels... lol. What's next for you?
Ermm...Other teams, maybe?
Oh yeah, welcome to the blog Nilfheim! Thanks for reading. I take it you're into Norse mythology?
Why the hell do you even know that?
Sorry...I'm a nerd.
My favorite part:
"Probably because he's all leg..."
