My wife is a baseball fan. She is not a Phillies fan like myself, rather she roots for the dreaded Braves. I know, hard to believe I didn't ask for an annulment. However, I feel lucky that my wife likes baseball at all, because I can't imagine what it would be like if she didn't. See, come spring training I'm listening to games on the radio, watching every game I can on tv, and have to read EVERY box score. Basically, I'm addicted to baseball and it takes over my life come time for the season. Trust me, she gets fed up with it, and I don't blame her, but she tolerates it and I love her for it!~Carson

My wife also is a Braves fun, but I actually considered myself lucky that she isn't a baseball fan (because of their dominance of the NL East since the dawn of time). Seriously John Smotlz, right after he invented walking upright struck out Doug Glanville.
I hate the Braves, but I love John Smoltz as a pitcher. I wish he had been a Phillie for the past decade+, then maybe our fortunes would be different.
i am completely obsessed w/ baseball. funny though b/c my girlfriend plays softball AND SHE'S AWESOME. seriously, she plays center field and on hard grounders throws people out at first! he throws the ball harder than most of her teammates hit the ball! i think last year she had 30 hits in 10 games, WITH 21 OF THEM FOR EXTRA BASES! and yet, she DOESN'T KNOW SHIT about the game. i was never a star player, but i've studied the game forever and now i coach youth ball. we're like polar opposites in that regard.
Benjah- 1st off, you referred to your girlfriend as a "he", much like I goofed and did in regards to my wife in the blog around Christmas time. 2nd- isn't it scary you and I both get to work with youth?

haha....carson, that is funny that i slipped....especially b/c i was the one who pointed out your slip! i guess karma's a bitch.......in my own defense, she doesn't play ball like a chick....she's a fuckn monster -- but all woman after hours, if you know what i mean.
and i love working with kids...they're great. i've actually spent the last couple years working on getting a teaching certificate, but apparently the state of new jersey doesn't want it's residents to teach or something (it's been really difficult).
in the mean time, the birds will have to do. i work here...
